![]() Glücklich IV V.A. compiled by Rainer Truby Compost Records 2000 |
I decided to write something about Glücklich IV from the famous series.
These compilations are quite okey! But too Brazilian for me. Yet this one here is Brazilian, electronic, jazzy ... and there are a kind of housy rhythms in it! Also it's compiled by Rainer Truby who did a good job! The artists on this compilation are masters in making chilly-beat music! There's Minus8, Gotan project, Kyoto Jazz Massive, Buscemi etc... all great artists and great music. I discovered this compilation in our local shop where it was playing in the shop, at that moment it was like I was going out of my mind when I heard the track from the Gotan Project ... this track is sort of deep-house with jazz influences and specially accordion and harmonica make it a killer track to dance on, but with a lot of instrumentation and variations. With my French roots, who from the crew would like more accordion than me? I don't know but this track is a killer track:) For the rest of the compilation high quality music. Ah, I almost forgot! David Matthews with Sambafrique is also the killer track of the year. You remember, a few months ago I wrote something about an NRK compilation with a famous track from Nick Holder: Samabfrique well sorry Nick, but your track is a rip off from Matthews one and the original version of Matthews really rocks more than the version of Nick. Sorry Nick, lot of respect but the version of Matthews rules and I think it's the original one! So I recommend you this compilation, if you like slow beat, latin and Brazilian stuff. Go for it! Keep cool, Howie 27/12/2000 |
