![]() Metamatics midnight sun pig 2LP Dot |
After 3 years of silence,
the Swedish Dot records re-appears and enlightens us with some new releases. The first new album on the block is "Midnight Sun Pig" by Metamatics. Another Metamatics? We've got some real nice synth squeaks and keyboard melodies layered around funky rhythms on broken beats. Sometimes groovin' mid-tempo and at other time more chilled-down. Profoundly burried under all this, are the lush soundscape-textures which make sure the right atmosphere stays omnipresent in all tracks. It's a bit hard to get into that atmosphere, but once you've accomplished that, just let yourself carry away and enjoy the feeling of being a Machine ... say vegin nov 2000 |
