![]() Dub Tractor Delay FX Records 2xLP track listing : |
After all those great ambient-releases from all over Europe, finally Denmark appears on the universal chill-out map. This is the first album on FX Records, they've released a few maxi's before, but this is the first release I've managed to find. I'm still not sure about what exactly makes you like one record and dislike another one. You just put one on the platter and start to listen ... somehow there are sounds that immediately appeal to you and others who don't ... In this case the first track that touched my eardrums just felt right ... I sensed the discovery of good music, as the other tracks followed, the sense only grew stronger. Lightweighted, easy going rhythms, not too experimental so they won't hurt the atmosphere and not too simple so they won't sound cheap. Deep baselines make you nod your head and fill op the room with a warm positive vibe. While the lazy beats take care of your body, the melodies slowly embrace your thougths. Strong melodies; that's what I think is missing in a lot of music and that's what is plentifull present in these tracks! Soft melodic electronica always does it for me and this album is full of it. Subtle background synths and clear keyboards -sometimes playfull, sometimes entrancing- create dreamy atmospheres which will definitely amuse me for many many hours. Say Vegin april 2000 |
