This is the very first release on a new label from Switserland. I've exchanged some e-mails
with the founder of this label and he sent me a promo copy. As a way of saying thanks and
to show my support for these guys, I wrote a little review. The style of this four-track EP is comparable with that of labels like Chocolate Industries and Skam. The first track is called "Premiere", a mixture of electro sounds and abstract beats, not bad, but a little too monotonous for my taste. "Bellz" is track number two and this is a lot better. A smokey laidback breakbeat with lush percussion and atmospheric strings that keep on changing throughout the entire track. Best pick of this EP! Reminds me a bit of the Soup LP from Bola. The electro influences surface on Driver, which is track 3. Spacey bleeps, peeps and synths combined with a nervous breakbeat make up for a dark atmosphere. With the final track, Solaris, the abstract beats are back. I've always liked the combination of dreamy, melancholic synths and distorted hi-hats. This track is no exception, my attention weakens and my mind is slowly drifting into higher spheres. Nice homelisting material. Say Vegin jan 2000 |
