Roy Ayers, one of the masters !! It takes a lot of effort to find these two records ... I never found them myself, but my Freestyle friend Rebel (aka Outspan) bought this great compilation for me which has the two albums on one disc. Although a CD can't be compared with the original vinyl, but the sounds are there and that's what counts! I won't tell you a lot about Roy Ayers, please see our Roy Ayers Biography if you want to read more about him. What I WILL tell you is that all tracks are brilliant. There are Jazz and Funk tracks. Herbie Hancock plays piano, that's gotta mean something ! Daddy bug was originally released on Atlantic in 1969 and Virgo Vibes in 1967 also on atlantic. This CD is perfect for people who are looking for good jazz-funk and don't have the time or money to get the original releases. These albums are representative for the other releases of Roy Ayers.
