NRK is a record label that has released a bunch of groovey maxi's and now they've
given us a summary of their best releases by their best artists on this terrific compilation !! When I discovered this label in 1997 they had already released some maxi's, but only after the releases from Gemini and Ian Pooley I really started to like it. One of the recent Ian Pooley releases was also selected for this compilation. A double-album with extremely qualitative housy tracks. Best track is without a doubt "Da Sambafrique" by Nick Holder, for me this is the track of the year 1999. Words aren't good enough to describe it, it's mindblowing! Other artists featured here are Francois K, The Dub Duo, Terra Deva, etc ... Although I already have the original maxi's from some tracks, I immediatly liked this compilation. It's a good investment for someone who isn't familiar with this label and want's to own some of their best tracks. Don't hesitate, the Nick Holder track on itself compensates the complete purchase That's it, short and snappy. Also enjoy the other Freestyle Reviews.
