Deadbeats
Lounging
1xCD 2020 DVision
We discovered the Deadbeats for the first time on the Mushroom jazz compilation,
but now could finally lay our hands on the full album of these UK based artists.
What exactly do we like about Deadbeats ? Without a doubt that typical Mushroom jazz sound ! That dry deep minimal overwhelming slow paced bass ! And it goes deep & dry I can assure. Make sure to play it on a decent soundsystem to enjoy to maximum extent ! "Help is on the way", "Cutee", "Made in the shade", "Dreamworld" and "Enter the redman" all have that dry deep bass with only light airy atmospheric touches in the background. Either you love this or you don't, but we do enjoy it as a welcome variation in todays music. Other tracks have this bass less on the foreground but explore more into dubby sounds, touches of R&B and hiphop and most of all, deadly slooowwwwwwww beats. Yes, an excellent album for chilling in your mind but meanwhile giving your stomach a nice deep bass drill.
