en route
1xCD Schema

"A journey through jazz, breakbeat, bossa nova, soul, funk"

Without a doubt, this music from the Lo Greco Brothers is of the absolute finest I have heard in months. "en route" is fully packed
with superb clean productions. The rythm section is softly varying from laidback jazz to loungy latin. The arrangements are subtle and going from organs, panflute to congas, guitar and various other percussion elements. Absolute killer track is "We go our's own way". A classy jazz-rythm with awesome goose-bump synth ! "Circie" and "Ritual" feature bizar airy high-pitched female vocals that set them apart. If you're looking for more records that will have people come over to your turntables to ask for the title, make sure to play "Check into your record bag". It reminds us slightly of seventies police series background music, but the overwhelming panflute give it that extra accent. Amazing! In every sense, this album lives up to the words on the cover : "A journey through jazz, breakbeat, bossa nova, soul, funk". In a very nice and extremely welldone workout, all these musical elements are present. It proves Italy should not be overlooked on the musical map !
