![]() V.A. Another taste Internal Bass |
The follow up compilation on "A taste of... Internal Bass" is here. A lot has been going on at Internal Bass recently and they seem to be capable of pumping out the best in the urban groove scene constantly. The people and artists behind Internal Bass represent simply the most tasty, classy, quality, grooviest, funkiest, jazziest, freakiest and freshest contemporary grooves. Release after release they prove to be way ahead of the competition and this new compilation is another milestone ! Big Freestyle thumbs up for Internal Bass. Now, what's on the "Another taste" compilation except superb pearls of the finest tunes on earth ? Mr Gone has two tracks featuring on the compilation, "Mosquito Coast '98" and "The Duke". The first being a latin salsa inspired groover with sensuous atmospheric vocal interludes, the last being even a little more wicked and funkier jazzgroover. There is Eddie Roberts for a somewhat simpler disco paced funky jam but with enough jazz touch to be interesting. The now increasingly more popular Down To the Bone is present as well with Bump'n'Hustle, a nice uptempo urban groove with that typical solid Down To the Bone bass sound and dito sax. Our personal favorite is without a doubt Afro Elements and "It remains to be seen". This is a most delicate and smooth chill experience with a moody air all over it but not withholding that tasty jazz element. Superbly balanced acustic and synth elements! A killer track. It's a newcomer to the Internal Bass with an upcoming album that without a doubt will be well worth checking out! Further there is the AKA Project for an easier uptempo jazzfunk jam after which the pace is slowed down for the moody Jazz Hunter and "A natural High". Another great ez-going vibe is coming from Neil Cowley Experience and "Moomba". In short, "Another Taste" is another indespensible collection of the finest tunes any serious music collectioner will want in his home. Be prepared for over an hour quality british urban grooves! ez sept/99 |
