Double Fine Zone brings a new episode of music for this fine artist.
For some years now, Spacetime Continuum alas Jonah Sharp, has his own place in the world of electronic music. His talent to blend a funk
sound with electronica and techno is remarkable. This time, Spacetime Continuum offers a nice progress in this blending technique by
incorporating real saxophone and giving the music a touch of jazz.
Some tracks are straightforward pumping technoid music, nevertheless with a warm jazz feeling, atmospheric synths and an immense dynamic
sound. Others explore breakbeats and electronic soundscapes with sparse sax intermezzos, but keep that overall warm feeling.
We especially liked "Microjam" and "Spin Out", finally offering some interesting techno sounds again these days. On the easy side,
there is "Biscuit face" and "One at a day", nice melodic electronic jazz soundscapes. This album has something to offer for all of us
music headz and is maybe overall best qualified as IDM. While checking out this new album, do not forget the previous
releases of Spacetime Continuum as well. This artist stands out in bringing interesting electronica! aug / 99 ez |
