Pork
If you have been exploring the Freestyle music pages for a while, you should know that you should always check the Pork releases while in the music stores. Sure, we did too, and found a new Baby Mammoth album this time. The home of Fila Brazillia, Bullitnuts, Heights of Abraham, Pork acquired its very own status and position in the music. Swimming of Baby Mammoth is a Pork album in its purest tradition of chilly beats. The remarkable thing of so many Pork releases is the fine line the artists walk between musical tradition and innovation in an overall lounging style. So does Baby Mammoth. Building on acid-jazz, Baby Mammoth adds dreamy ambient textures, elements of dub, warm and deep backbeats, cool moog sounds and pure jazz piano melodies. We especially like Quick Kick, Urban Waltz and Lost Bearings, which bring a warm polyrythmic mixture of traditional jazz explorations that remind us of artists like Miles Davis, George Benson, Earl Klugh or Ronny Jordan, and more futuristic synth ambient soundscapes. Noteworthy is also Chicken Chiefly with its super heavy deep driving fonky oldskool beat and future jazz gimmicks. Very nice!

No, Swimming won't disappoint as a typical Pork chillout experience! Enjoy
