12" maxis of the month
1. The Voder : Terpsitone / Mannequin : Axodya Limited
Ambient Electro mixture that can be played at random speed
2. KV5 & Nicky Taylor : Church Candles : People
Always Original, Always Fresh, Always Excellent, Always People
3. Nickodemus and Jay B : A New Day : Mush
Eclectic blend of acid-jazz tracks with dub rhythms on the lounge tip
4. Oscuro P : Soul Inflection : Pan
Spacey House
5. Bochum Welt : Phial : Axodya
Released on a label from Bern (Swiss), these are 8 somewhat more industrial influenced tracks but it still is very good atmospheric electro.
6. Mateo & Matos : Taste Of Funk : Large
Their deep-house productions are usually way to cheap for my taste, but this downbeat track has the great smokey sound we love
7. Boo Williams : Many Forms of House : Formaldehyd
(see review)
8. DMX Krew : Good Time Girl : Rephlex
cheesy electro-pop pressed on a special shaped 7" picture disk.
Abum of the month
1. Dub Tractor : Delay : FX (see review)
2. Yoshinori Sunahara : PAN AM The Sound of '70s : Bungalow (see review)
3. Ronny Jordan : A Brighter Day : Blue Note (see review)
Classic of the month
Kruder & Dorfmeister : G-Stoned : G-Stone 1993
An EP filled with high-quality blunted beats from the Vienna Duo, which contains the equally magnificent as essential track "High Noon".

Rebel's quest for old-skool joy in contemporary grooves :
1. Attaboy : busted wagon : Toko
Finally, in my possesion ! This is one of the few deephouse tracks, together with Mark Grant "spirit of the black ghost", that I consider to come close to GU in top form ("disco fusion", "musical high", "house of blues"). The secret ? Moogs, moogs and moogs...
2. De-phazz : goodboy : Vernoth
Deep and smooth. A jazzfunk track that stands firm and aims right on : to melt old-skool rythms together with nu-skool sounds. Throws in some nice vocoder-vocals for an extra touch.
3. Ronny Jordan : london lowdown : Blue Note
The most funky track on RJ's new album. Although the raw edge of 'Light to Dark' has been sawn off for the Blue Note release, Ronny's funky light shines through on some of the tracks that become real gems. (see review)
4. St. Germain : so flute : Blue Note
Deep house gets maximum respect from the jazz scene with this former F-Comm artist on the legendary Blue Note label. You get nothing for nothing, so Ludovic Navarre trades in most of the deep-house beats for jazzy rythms. Not that we mind, the atmosphere is right there... (see review)
5. Yoshinori Sunahara : 747 dub : Bungalow
Everything about this album breathes airplanes and seventies flavour. Time travelling leaves a huge jetlag... soothe your body afterwards with these sounds for licka'fans. (see review)
6. Rubato : here's to you : Toko
And here's to Toko...cheers!
7. Lee Curtis Connection : urban flavour : Ninja Tune
Ninja Tune publishes a track that smells immensly like sixties jazz. Always in for a laugh, the label that loves you keeps on guaranteeing quality.
Outspan's fat bag of raregroove goodies :
Mandrill : don't mess with people : Polydor (1973)
